This is an artisan package for a finely crafted cover design that requires intensive photo manipulation or custom artwork/illustration. You’re an established author or publishing house that needs a captivating cover for your next best seller! Some cover designs demand extra artistic attention to create something wonderful. Perhaps your concept needs a photo montage to merge multiple images together to create atmosphere and impact. Your cover may require a painting, drawing or illustrative elements to speak to your audience in a unique and compelling way. Or, complex graphics that relate to the content of your book need to be produced. As a successful author, or publisher, you have to guarantee that your next book meets the expectations of your avid readers and audience, and with this package, you get a world of possibility and creative expression to achieve the magic you need.

Book cover brief

Please complete the design brief below, to help us get to know about your book and to understand what’s needed. Cover design is both a technical and creative process, so the questions below are there to help us build a clear impression of your cover design project. Please also use this if you need a bespoke quote for your publication or if you need the book layout and design, such as a coffee table book or a poetry pamphlet/chapbook/collection or anthology. Jason also designs and formats books, so please provide as much information as you can to help us provide a fixed-price quote for your unique book project.

Package notes:

For eBooks, you will be provided with industry-standard, production-ready files. For printed books, you will need to provide us with an exact print template that meets the specific requirements of the printer/publisher or print-on-demand platform. We can help with this, if required, and liaise with your printer to ensure that the correct specifications and templates are created. For print-on-demand platforms, we can assist you in generating the correct template file for your book, should you not have the experience or knowledge to do this yourself.

*You supply the imagery - we can source imagery on your behalf, where requested, but this may incur an additional fee to cover our time.

*Royalty-Free images. You, as the author, must send us images (were required) that are either royalty-free or come with a legal document to prove that an image license has been purchased, or present proof that gives you the rights to include the image(s) on your cover. There are strict licensing laws in place that protect photographers and creatives from unlawful use of images. We will ask you to send us the image licence and/or consent from the originator of that image before we can proceed with the design work. For packages whereby we source images and have full creative scope, we secure the image rights for use on the cover design project.

*Free promotional images/covers refer to: 1) The final production-ready files 2) Cover image(s) to use for your marketing (both print quality and web resolution versions will be supplied - for printed books/print-on-demand, front cover, back cover and full cover spread (back, spine and front) images are provided 3) A 3D visualisation image.

*Unlimited tweaks will adhere to a fair use policy, which we will communicate during the project if the requests go beyond a reasonable level. By using us, you are hiring our expertise, and as such, a level of trust is expected.
